Double S Events is an innovative events agency working across the UK's vibrant Architecture and Design environment to create bespoke opportunities for the building industry to develop relationships with architects, designers and specifiers.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Co-ordinating any in house or external events and to act as the face of the business to guests.
To ensure that event budgets are not exceeded through effective control systems.
To ensure that enquiries, messages, bookings are dealt with courteously and efficiently.
To provide all customers with a professional, helpful, efficient and friendly service at all times.
Managing events on site in Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester as well as other opportunities that might arise.
Implementing the company’s digital marketing strategies, including newsletters and social media; ensuring regular interaction and all follower feedback is responded to.
As a Marketing & Events Manager we look for
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to self-motivate and work on your own
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office is a requirement of this role
Experience of using all social media platforms is also a requirement of this role
Excellent writing skills (newsletters, press releases, blog posts)
Honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic
Genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for providing a great guest experience
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not a must. We are happy to train and pass on our knowledge.
Candidates should note that this is not always a 9-5 position and that you will be required to work a few evenings and weekends. Also, candidates must be available to travel throughout the UK and to Ireland. A driving licence is also required.
25 hours per week - Monday to Friday (flexible). During the events the extra hours worked will be paid in addition to the normal hours.
9 months – Start date: ideally within the first 2 weeks in February 2019, but we can be accommodating for the right candidate, and we may have other opportunities at end of contract.
Salary & Benefits for our Marketing & Events Manager or Freelancer
Salary: up to £1.500 pcm, depending on experience. Holidays 28 days (pro rata) including Scottish Bank Holidays, free parking. Freelancers welcome.
